Jesus sends out His disciples


Bible 1
Jesus called His 12 disciples together and gave them the authority to free people from evil spirits and heal every type of sickness.
Bible 2
He told them to go to God’s lost sheep, the Jews, and announce that the kingdom of Heaven was near.
Bible 3
‘Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy and free those under the influence of evil spirits.’


Bible 4
Give as freely as you have received!’ Jesus told them.
Bible 5
‘Don’t take any money with you or carry a bag with extra clothes and shoes. Those you help should feed and care for you.
Bible 6
‘Whenever you enter a city or village, search for a godly man and stay in his home until you leave for the next town.


Bible 7
‘ When you ask permission to stay, be friendly. If it turns out to be a godly home, give it your blessing.
Bible 8
‘If you are not made welcome in any place, shake off the dust from your feet as you leave it. The wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah will be better off at Judgment Day than those who reject you.
Bible 9
‘I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. Be as wary as serpents and harmless as doves.


Bible 10
‘But beware! For you will be arrested and tried, and whipped in the synagogues.
Bible 11
‘Yes, and you must stand trial before governors and kings for my sake. This will give you the opportunity to witness to them and the world about me. Don’t worry about what to say for God will speak through you!
Bible 12
‘Even your own families will betray you,’ Jesus warned. ‘Many will hate you because you belong to me. But all who endure to the end will be saved.

‘When you are persecuted in one city, flee to the next! I will return before you have reached them all!

‘A student is not greater than his teacher. Don’t be afraid of those who threaten you. Their secret plots will become public.

‘What I tell you now in the gloom, shout out when daybreak comes. What I whisper in your ears, proclaim from the housetops!


Bible 16
‘Don’t be afraid of those who can kill your bodies. They can’t touch your souls! Your heavenly Father knows when a sparrow falls. So don’t worry! You are more valuable to Him than many sparrows.
Bible 17
‘If anyone publicly says I am his friend, I will openly say he is my friend before my Father in heaven. But if anyone publicly denies me, I will openly deny him before my Father in heaven.

‘If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give it up for me, you will save it.


Bible 19
‘Those who welcome you are welcoming me. And when they welcome me they are welcoming God who sent me.
Bible 20
‘And if, as my representatives, you give even a cup of cold water to a little child, you will surely be rewarded.’
Bible 21
The disciples then went out in pairs to the nearby towns and villages, preaching that people needed to repent.

They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them.
Bible 23
King Herod, the ruler of Galilee, heard about the miracles that were taking place and became scared that John the Baptist had come back to life.

‘I beheaded John,’ Herod said, ‘so who is Jesus?’ Herod wanted to meet Jesus to question Him.
Bible 25
After the disciples returned to Jesus and reported what they had done, He slipped quietly away with them by boat towards the city of Bethsaida.
