Paul And Barnabas In Turkey

Bible 1
Paul always spoke boldly about Jesus. He was not afraid of what men thought. Now this stirred up unbelieving Jews even more so they wanted to kill Paul. When Paul and Barnabas heard of this they left for other cities.
Bible 2
When they came to Lystra they saw a lame man that had never been able to walk. The lame man carefully listened to Paul telling him about Jesus. The Holy Spirit showed Paul that the man had faith to be made well.
Bible 3
With excitement Paul said in a loud voice ‘Stand upright on your feet.’ The lame man in faith excitedly leaped up and began to walk. Now everyone who saw this miracle was also excited. Too excited to think properly.

Bible 4
The excited crowds forgot that Paul talked about the Lord Jesus Christ and thought that Paul and Barnabas were gods. Even the priest from the pagan temple brought cattle and garlands to honour them as gods.
Bible 5
Paul and Barnabas realized that desperate measures had to be taken to stop the crowds from thinking they were gods. They decided to tear their clothing and run into the crowds showing them that they were only men.
Bible 6
After the people calmed down, Paul told them that the living God took care of them, that it was foolishness to worship idols and that God loved them so much that He sent His one and only Son to die for their sins.

Bible 7
Just as Paul and Barnabas were speaking, Jews from Antioch and Iconium started to mislead the crowds by telling them lies. Now the mob was very angry and they took Paul and stoned him outside the city.
Bible 8
Later the mob left Paul for dead. Some of the people that believed in Jesus went to Paul. When they stood around him, God helped Paul, so he got up and boldly went back into the city.

Bible 9
Paul and Barnabas traveled back to Lystra. Wherever they went they encouraged new believers. They told believers not to be surprised that they too may experience mistreatment because they loved Jesus.
Bible 10
The Christians in Antioch rejoiced to hear how God brought both Jews and many Gentiles into His kingdom. The world was changing because Paul and Barnabas boldly moved as God directed them.
