Jesus at a wedding

Bible 1
Jesus and his disciples, along with his mother Mary, were invited to a wedding at Cana in Galilee. (Wedding celebrations often went on for a week).
Bible 2
After a while they ran out of wine to serve to the guests. Jesus’ mother, Mary, quietly pointed out this problem to Jesus: ‘They have no more wine.’
Bible 3
‘Why are you involving me?’ asked Jesus. His mother went to the servants and told them. ‘Do whatever He tells you.’

Bible 4
Nearby were some very large jars of water (used by the Jews for ceremonial washing). Each held between 20-30 gallons (75-115 litres) of water.
Bible 5
Jesus told the servants to fill the jars with water. They obeyed and filled each one to the brim.
Bible 6
Jesus then told the servants, ‘Go and draw out some of the water and take it to the man in charge of the wedding banquet.’

Bible 7
They took a small jar of the water to the master of the banquet. He had no idea what had been going on.
Bible 8
He tasted it and turned to the bridegroom.

Bible 9
‘Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink,’ he remarked. ‘But you have kept the best wine until now.’
Bible 10
When Jesus’ disciples realised He had turned water to wine they believed in Him. It was the first miracle Jesus did to show His power and glory.
